Reading Picture Books: Beware of Strangers’ Help

Children like to be noticed by others, and they are often very enthusiastic about the appreciation and help from the outside world. This is not bad at all, but it is easy to be used by hostile people.

What should adults do if they ask their children to lead the way, help find people or pets, etc. What if the other party is a bad person with no good intentions?

Should how teach children to identify bad strangers so as to ensure their personal safety?

In order to give children a good childhood, Dr. Clove gave parents the following advice:

1. Parents should clearly tell their children that when strangers ask for help, they must first understand whether they have the ability to help others. Let children know that they are still minors and their ability to help others is limited.

2. At ordinary times, children should be given necessary safety education, including children’s personal safety and property safety. Parents should tell their children that when they meet strangers for help, they can be what instead of what.

The following story, parents should often listen to children, improve children’s vigilance, protect their safe growth.

Doctor Clove Tells Story: Weasel Good [Poor]

After the kindergarten was over, the little raccoon was carrying a small schoolbag and skipping home-I really wanted to get home soon. My mother said that she would make delicious cream crisp fish cakes tonight. Think of it will drool, hey hey… really drool.

The little raccoon was about to raise his hand to wipe his saliva. Suddenly a figure rushed up, stopped him and held out his hand at him. The little raccoon looked up and saw, ouch, who is this? He is leaning on a wooden stick in his hand, wearing a pair of sunglasses on his face, wearing a thin old dress, and his mouth is still groaning: “ouch, ouch, kind child, be kind, give me something to eat, I haven’t eaten for three days…”

It’s really pitiful. The little raccoon immediately picked up his schoolbag and found three pieces of chocolate and two egg yolk pie: [Here, this is for you to eat.]

The man took the food and thanked him repeatedly: [kind child, thank you very much, you are really a good man… I still have a child in my family, about the same age as you, and he hasn’t eaten for a day. I’ll take it back to him to eat…]

The man went on to say, “It’s rare to meet a kind-hearted person like you, little friend. I have one more thing to ask you… Look, I have a strange disease. My eyes dare not see the light. What is vague. This week I have to go to the hospital for treatment. I don’t have any money. Can you lend me some money?” ]

Little raccoon thought: Didn’t mother often say that she should be helpful, or I would lend him some money? The little raccoon began to pick up the schoolbag again and find out dozens of dollars. But before he could pass the money, the man dragged it away.

When the little raccoon was stunned, the man hurriedly said, “Thank you, little friend!” You have helped me a lot. Where do you live? When I have money in the future, I will definitely give it back to you! The little raccoon shook his head and said, “No, if you can cure the disease, you should go home quickly!” ]

Hearing this, the man said in embarrassment: “Little friend, I can’t see the road clearly. Can you please do me another favor and take me home?” My house is very close to here! ] The little raccoon hesitated a little: [Is it really close? Mom is still waiting for me to come home! The man nodded hard and said, “It’s really close! It will be here in two minutes! ] [Well… All right! ]

So the little raccoon took the man and walked in the direction he said. Go, go, go for a long time but did not arrive. The little raccoon couldn’t help asking, “how far is it?” It’s not too far, the man said. It’s just around the corner! ]

After turning a corner, we have to turn another corner… the road seems to be getting more and more remote, and the little raccoon began to play drums in his heart: what is going on here? This guy is not lying to me, is he?

Suddenly, the little raccoon saw a police uncle on patrol in front of him and had an idea. As they passed by the police uncle, the little raccoon suddenly let go and ran to the police uncle’s side. Then he saw… the [poor] uncle who was walking slowly started to run, running really fast!

The police uncle caught up with him and took off his sunglasses. It turned out to be a weasel!

The police uncle took the weasel back to the police station and asked in the first instance that what the weasel said was all false. He wanted to cheat the little raccoon’s money. Later, when he saw that the little raccoon was so easy to cheat, he wanted to cheat him to a remote place, fart him out, and then abducted him to a far place.

The little raccoon’s parents arrived.

The mother raccoon said to the little raccoon: “Baby, it is good to be helpful, but you should distinguish the good from the bad, and do what you can, otherwise you will be easily cheated.” The father raccoon said: “Look, adults ask children for money and ask you to send them home, which is very suspicious. When you meet such people again in the future, you can tell them: I can find the police uncle to help you!” ]

The little raccoon nodded fiercely: “Well, I know this time!” ]

Experts’ Words to Children

Children, it is a good habit to be ready to help others, but you are still young and lack social experience. You must first protect yourself before helping others.

When you meet some adults who ask you for help on the road or on other occasions, you must be on your guard. The following points, I hope you can do:

1. Don’t go to a secluded place with a stranger. When you meet a stranger and ask him the way, you can tell him how to get there, but don’t lead him the way.

2. If a stranger asks you for information, you can tell him what everyone knows, such as when the nearby post office goes to work. Don’t say where you live, the names of your parents and other personal information.

3. If a stranger borrows something from you, he can lend it to the small things he carries with him that are not valuable. Don’t lend him money and valuables, let alone take him to his home.

4. If a stranger encounters danger or emergency, he can call the emergency center or the police on the premise of ensuring his own safety.
