There are very few hospitals in China that are not crowded, especially in obstetrics and gynecology. Every time you go to a prenatal examination, there are a sea of people, just like fighting a war.

Which hospital do you choose?
Choosing a hospital is the first difficult problem.
In our city, maternal and child health care hospital is the most authoritative hospital. But the problem is that almost all the city’s prospective parents think so.
As a result, every time I go to the maternal and child health care hospital for prenatal examination, I am very nervous. I get up early in the morning, drive to the hospital, and then I have to find a place to park. I finally stopped the car, queued up to see a doctor, queued up for B-ultrasound, queued up for blood tests, and even had to wait in line for half an hour with a urine cup… Then, I had to wait in line for fetal heart monitoring.
At the end of each prenatal examination, I am exhausted physically and mentally, and I spend all my time in it. Sometimes I even have to run twice to complete a complete set of prenatal examination procedures.
Seeing this, you may ask, why not choose another hospital?
Yes, other hospitals also have obstetrics and gynecology departments, and we have also considered them, but the reason why I finally chose the Maternal and Child Health Hospital is:

In the first few weeks, like other couples, we foolishly registered at the scene and waited until one day for our turn.
After unremitting attempts and explorations, we have summed up several tips to save time.
1. WeChat Reservation
Now many 3A hospitals can use WeChat to make appointments. The advantage is that they don’t have to rush to the scene to queue up early. Although the number they get may not be high, they can at least sleep for a while or do something else, as long as they go before the specified time.
Step 2 Avoid peak hours
Through observation, we found that everyone went to the hospital [rather early than late], all crowded in the morning, but in fact, in addition to B-ultrasound, blood drawing (morning fasting examination items), the rest of the examination items can be completed in the afternoon. (B-ultrasound does not have to be done in the morning, but in the afternoon may not be able to arrange the number)
In addition, not every prenatal examination requires B-ultrasound or blood tests. Therefore, qualified people can try to go to the hospital in the afternoon, and there will not be too many people.
Step 3: Try a prenatal diagnosis center
It should be noted here that the [prenatal diagnosis center] is not a [prenatal clinic]. Different cities and hospitals may have different names, but their functions are the same.
[Prenatal clinic] is the department where families expecting childbirth all want to register and are always crowded. And [prenatal diagnosis center] is specially set up for high-risk parturients [VIP clinic], registration fee is generally 1 to 2 times higher than [prenatal clinic], but the flow of people is obviously much less.
When we first joined the army, I was just asking that this is a good place in what. Only later did we know that this department can also do prenatal examination. Therefore, we spent more money to hang up the number of [prenatal diagnosis center] and tried to ask the doctor, not high-risk parturient can also see here, and finally got a positive answer. So the next few months of prenatal examination, we are very comfortable, don’t have to squeeze with the prenatal examination army.
Although the registration fee is a little expensive, we think it is worth it. After all, we have more time to communicate with doctors and worry ourselves.

Because we decided to give birth smoothly, by the 36th week, it became important to see the midwife clinic.
At this time, the child has been basically finalized and all health indicators are stable. Only regular examination and monitoring are left in the doctor’s clinic, while the midwife’s clinic can provide you with some practical information at this time. For example, doing some what during the following pregnancy can make natural labor smoother, including how to adjust diet and how to exercise.
More importantly, in the delivery room where the baby is born smoothly, only midwives are usually seen. Only when there is a situation that is life-threatening or beyond the control of the midwife will the doctor take the lead, or directly transfer the parturient to the operating room.
Therefore, look at the midwife clinic more and let them know the specific situation of expectant mothers. When giving birth smoothly, both midwives and expectant mothers will be more confident and at ease.
However, I still need to say one more thing. Visiting midwife clinics cannot replace visiting doctor clinics. Doctors have a wider range of functions and many things can only be handled by them.

Many expectant mothers feel that as long as they unload their children quickly, they will be freed. Only later did they realize that the task has not been completed. Therefore, we should make an appointment for a breast-feeding clinic before delivery, know the time and posture of breast-feeding in advance, and make preparations as much as possible. Scientific breast-feeding starts when the baby is not born.
