Baby vomiting milk may be allergic to formula milk. These 6 methods are worth trying.

Most parents will try a variety of milk powder before finding the most suitable formula for their babies.

There are so many kinds of formula milk that many babies will have allergic reactions to one of them. Let’s learn how to find the most suitable formula milk for babies.

Which manifestations may be formula allergy?

Every baby will suffer from flatulence, occasional diarrhea and a little irritability, which is normal.

If the baby is fine most of the time and looks happy, then you probably have nothing to worry about. However, if the baby has the following symptoms, it may be formula allergy:

Every day, I cry for hours due to colic. Every time I nurse, I spit out a lot. Stool is green, mucous and loose. Constipation, coarse and hard stool and painful defecation; Bloody stool; Chronic rash appears in most areas of the body; Chronic nasal obstruction or asthma.

First, confirm whether it is really formula allergy.

It is suggested that don’t worry about changing the brand of milk powder first. Some babies only need you to change the nursing technology, and the situation will improve. Try these methods first:

Step 1 Avoid overfeeding

In the first few months, most babies need 60-120 ml (original: 2-4 ounces) of milk at a time.

If your baby wants to eat more, it may just be because he likes sucking, give him a pacifier.

You may also find that if you eat less and nurse more frequently, the baby’s condition will improve.

Step 2: Change the bottle

Maybe the baby just swallowed too much air while eating milk.

This can happen if the pacifier flows too fast, or if the bottle is easy for the baby to swallow air. Change a slow pacifier or try several more bottles to see if the situation improves.

3. Change milk powder into liquid milk

For some unknown reasons, some babies are easier to digest the prepared liquid formula than milk powder.

Before changing the brand of milk powder, try liquid milk of the same brand or model.

Six Ways to Try

If the baby’s problem is not solved, you can take the following measures to find a suitable formula for him.

After each replacement, please take one week to observe and then proceed to the next step (unless the situation deteriorates completely after the replacement):

1. Brand change

If your baby is eating milk-based formula, try another brand.

There are slight differences between different brands of formula milk, which may be helpful. If the baby is eating soybean formula milk, try another brand.

Step 2: Eat organic milk

If your baby is eating non-organic formula milk, try the same type of organic milk (milk or soybean formula milk).

3. Switch to milk-based [mild] formula

All large formula companies have milk-based [mild] [anti-allergy] or [comfortable] formulas, in which milk proteins are slightly decomposed into smaller proteins.

Soybean formula and standard milk formula have corresponding mild products.

4. Replace milk formula with soy formula and vice versa

If you have tried all possible milk formula (or soybean formula), simply change it (change milk to soy milk or soy milk to milk).

Step 5 Try a lactose-free formula

Some companies produce milk-based lactose-free formula milk. Although lactose intolerance is rare in infants, it is worth a try.

Note: Soybean formula and lactose-free formula are only short-term solutions.

For human infants, soybean protein is not as ideal as milk protein, and lactose is the most easily used energy source for human brain.

If your baby can only eat soy formula, you can try to switch back to milk-based formula after a month or two. As the baby’s digestive system develops, he may be able to learn to digest milk by himself.

6. Switch to a special hypoallergic formula

The ingredients of this formula milk are pre-digested milk protein, different sugar and fat sources, and are suitable for especially sensitive babies.

At present, some brands produce this formula milk without a prescription. Most shops, pharmacies and the Internet sell it, but attention should be paid to the purchase channels and consulting professionals.
