Safety accidents may occur anywhere in the home. Children burn, get an electric shock or fall off the balcony one after another. Some potential safety hazards are obvious, such as toy cars left on the stairs. Some are more hidden, such as loose stair handrails.

Children’s room
1. Is there a safety belt on the baby diaper table?
2. Is the gap between each bed board of the crib less than 6 cm?
3. Can the crib prevent side falls?
4. Have anti-collision pads or similar items, such as soft pillows, large plush animals and softer bedding, been removed from the crib?
5. Are all movable objects on the crib tied and fixed?

Walls and floors
1. Is the wall intact? Is there any peeling or paint cracking?
2. Are there any nails on the wall that need to be removed?
3. Are the mirrors and photo frames on the wall firmly hung?
4. Is there carpet or anti-skid mat on the floor?
Doors and windows
1. Is there a protective device installed on the door to prevent fingers from being caught?
2. Are all glass doors in the home marked with decorative marks to prevent others from mistakenly thinking that the doors are open?
3. Are all sliding doors equipped with child safety locks?
4. Is there a bumper or protective window on the higher window?
5. Is the window stop installed to ensure buffer when closing the window?

Furniture
1. Are bookshelves or other furniture fixed to wall brackets to prevent overturning?
2. Are protective pads installed on coffee tables, desks or other furniture with sharp edges to prevent bruises?
3. Are toy boxes or other boxes equipped with safety chains to prevent sudden closure?
4. Is the flat panel TV firmly fixed on the wall?
5. Are old and heavy transistor televisions all placed on furniture that is lower and smoothly placed?
6. Are all drawers locked to prevent slipping?
Kitchen
1. Is there a safety lock installed in the drawer where sharp instruments such as knives, forks and scissors are placed?
2. Has the knob of the gas stove on the stove taken measures to prevent children from turning at will?
3. Are items such as glassware and sharp knives placed out of reach of children?
4. Have all electrical appliances been unplugged and put away when they are not in use?
5. Is it impossible for children to reach the telephone line answering the phone on the wall?
6. Are the drugs stored in a higher cabinet and locked?
7. Are matches and lighters locked?
8. Are detergents, pesticides, etc. placed out of reach of children?
9. Are refrigerator stickers and other small items out of reach of children?
10. Is there a fire extinguisher in the kitchen? Do family members know how to use it?
11. Does the child’s high chair have a seat belt?
Staircase
1. Are there safety doors to protect children installed at the top and bottom of the stairs?
2. Do you clean up all the risk factors that easily lead to baby wrestling on the stairs, such as sliding carpets or scattered toys?
3. If the child’s body can pass through the stair railings, is there a protective device between the railings?
4. Are all railings or stair handrails firm?
Can the stairs to the basement be locked?
6. Is there enough lighting at the stairs?
Bathroom
1. Is the water temperature setting value of the water heater lower than 49 ℃?
2. Are shavers, nail clippers and other sharp small items locked in the cabinet?

Laundry and Garage

4. Has the pool and its small vegetable garden been set up with isolation belts?
5. Is the garbage basket containing waste glass and metal placed out of reach of children?
