Dry Goods Coming (Issue 12) Complete Strategy for Baby’s Supplementary Food

There shouldn’t be these in the supplementary food.

  1. Before the baby reaches the age of 1, nothing should be added with any form of salt (including children’s soy sauce).

  2. Rice soup occupies the stomach and affects eating more food: rice soup itself has very low nutrition and energy density. Drinking rice soup will occupy the limited stomach capacity of children and affect eating.

  3. Honey may contain botulinum toxin. To be on the safe side, it is not recommended for babies under 1 year old.

  4. Don’t rush to give your baby the whole nut: the nut is hard, not easy to chew, and easy to choke during eating.

  5. Juice is not suitable for babies.

Should a good complementary food be how?

  1. High nutrient density: It can provide high energy, high quality protein and rich trace elements, especially iron.

  2. Easy to clean, ready: it is more convenient to prepare and can be thoroughly cleaned.

  3. Easy to eat and easy to digest: The baby’s chewing and digestion ability is not strong, so the food itself should be easy to eat besides enough nutrition.

  4. Bone-free, soft: Particulate matter that is too hard or too small is easy to choke.

  5. The taste is natural and light: the baby has a sensitive taste, and the food should be based on natural taste. Don’t worry about the baby’s taste, they can eat the fragrance you can’t taste!
