[One Yuan Painting] Behind the crazy turn, not every autistic person is a genius.

Yesterday, everyone’s circle of friends was blown up by [one dollar painting].

This activity has focused everyone’s attention on [autism]. Even the organization that launched the activity said in a public statement that it was [very unexpected]. I didn’t expect [the public would pay so much attention to this group and this incident].

Many people may think that autistic children are just silent and withdrawn, but they are actually hidden geniuses. But the reality is:

99% of autism is not genius.

If we remove the romantic fantasy given by disease, can we still look directly at the cruelty behind it?

Today, Dr. Clove invited Li Laoxi, a special teacher, to talk with us about this topic. He used to work in an autism rehabilitation institution, but now he still works independently and still serves families of special children, helping hundreds of autistic children.

99% of autism is not a genius.

I don’t know if you will find such autism works very beautiful and will you be willing to spend money on them:

If you like…

Well, you were all cheated. This is a teacher I know who imitated children’s strokes to draw it. Later, a charity thought it was good and wanted to use it. But it was auctioned off.

I have been working for more than 7 years and have taught hundreds or thousands of children, but I have never seen any genius in the secular sense.

If you go to an organization, if there are 100 autistic children in the organization and give them a piece of paper to draw, then the result is probably as follows: about 10 people will scribble randomly, 40-50 people will tear off the paper directly, about 20 people will touch the paper continuously, and the rest will probably put the paper in their mouth.

The vast majority of autism is accompanied by delays in various abilities, including fine movements, especially painting skills.

Graffiti is actually possible, but they will not change their pens by themselves. It is very likely that a colored pen will be painted from beginning to end. Those paintings with very rich colors are almost impossible to appear.

There are almost no such thoughts as [changing pen] [changing color] [conceiving line direction].

The autistic children with the best ability in the organization (the children with poor ability may not be able to take the pen, or even do not understand that the pen is what), and the ones who draw better are usually monochrome, either all red or all blue, and the pictures finished by the children are basically like this.

As for those beautiful paintings, parents and teachers usually write most of them on their behalf, and they finish them one or two times.

The same is true for other manual classes, It is basically equivalent to signing the work under the title of autism. (But I also understand that it is really difficult for public welfare workers.) Although this aspect of public welfare is very difficult, this method misleads the public about autism. I am not very supportive, although I do not know how to do it best.

Is autism really not a genius who is good at painting?

Maybe there is, but I haven’t seen what I came into contact with. It may be that the contact method is wrong, or the sample is not large enough and wide enough.

Autism is more difficult than we thought.

Autism is a congenital brain development disorder, which can be intervened as soon as possible to enable some people with mild symptoms to acquire basic survival skills and social skills, but it cannot be completely cured, and the impact is life-long and irreversible.

The incidence rate of autism is about 1.6 ~ 2.0 per 1,000. With the development of monitoring mechanism, this figure is still on the rise.

According to incomplete statistics, the number of autistic people in China is as high as over 10 million.

Autistic people can hardly understand the high-level things of emotion, and their knowledge structure is not enough to generate more associations.

Moreover, more than 80% of autism have no independent behavior ability, which may include skills such as eating, dressing and grooming, not to mention social what.

In other words, it is difficult to live independently for a week without the care of their families. Their existence is already a huge burden that cannot be ignored to the family.

Most autistic people lack the ability to take care of themselves and need the lifelong company of their parents, which brings great pressure to their families.

If you have autistic children around you

If you are an ordinary passer-by, Party a, Party B and Party C:

If you don’t pay attention to their wishes, it is good to treat them equally. If you want to know what they think, you can read my other articles.

If you are an enthusiastic volunteer for public welfare, you would like to give your ability very much:

You can learn relevant knowledge and have the ability to interact with them as soon as possible.

Donated items can be selected from items that are frequently used, such as magnetic tablet, cognitive cards, Ou Mujie building blocks, logic dogs, pinyin books, 4-6 pieces of jigsaw puzzles and other teaching aids and toys, or some small snacks can also be handed over to guardians, such as parents or teachers, as far as possible.

If you are an ordinary parent:

Please accept the concept that the group of special children is not small. If their existence does not affect the daily life of you and your children, please accept this setting calmly.

In fact, communicating with a special child with a good sense of rules can give ordinary children over 3 years old more opportunities to express themselves, but they like to be little teachers to express what they know very well.

If these special children have some behavioral problems that affect you, please also tell their parents directly that tolerance alone will not bring benefits to either party.

If you are the parent of a special child:

Perhaps it is a better choice to let people around you know about your children. Being an ostrich has no positive significance for you, children or everyone.

There are some things that cannot be hidden at all, and there will always be more goodwill around them. Being partial will only hurt both sides. Both you and your child need to face all this calmly.

There is no perfect world tailored for him. In this world, everyone will face their own problems, and so will they.

Equal treatment is the greatest respect.

I have said more than once:

I object to all romantic understanding of autistic children. They are not children from aliens, they are all earth people like us and are weakened versions.

Perhaps genius autism does exist, but it is really only a very small group of people, and the other 99% of autism is real and cruel.

The best respect is to treat them equally and treat them like ordinary children.

If he has outstanding facial features and adorable manners, he likes them as much as he likes ordinary children. If they do not obey the rules and make sabotage like ordinary Xiong Haizi, which is annoying, please hate them like ordinary Xiong Haizi.
