Facing the unfriendly environment of breast-feeding, how should mothers safeguard their legitimate rights?

When the company’s breast milk room was invaded by men, the mother defended the rights and interests of breast milk mothers in this way.
A while ago, the company’s breast milk room was invaded by a male colleague while the nursing mother was using it.
Although the man claimed that he did not know what breast milk was, I still defined it as a vicious incident. Through a few days of reasonable rights protection, we have obtained a relatively fair result for this matter.
Without knocking at the door, the male colleague entered the nursing room.
On the day of the incident, one of my colleagues was sucking milk in the breast milk room. The man did not knock at the door or have any communication with the mother. He directly opened the glass door, lifted the blinds and went straight in, claiming to put a hormone drug he used into the company’s special refrigerator for breast milk. The elder brothers went in, put the medicine and came out.
After going out, he was caught by another breast-feeding mother, because an hour ago, he went to the door of the breast-feeding room three times in a row to harass and ask to enter, but the mother refused. No one could have imagined that the above scene would happen an hour later.
The premise of the above incident is that the glass door of the company’s breast milk room has a large text sign [men are not allowed in].
There is a large text on the refrigerator door in the breast milk room: “Please put other foods that need to be refrigerated except breast milk into the refrigerator in the tea room.”
What makes people feel even more unreasonable is that the 27-year-old man who [invaded] the breast milk room, graduated from master’s degree and has worked in the company for more than two years. Moreover, he claimed that he did not know what the breast milk room was used for and did not notice the written notices on the door and refrigerator of the breast milk room.
I don’t want to say how many SB this man has, because the world is too big, all kinds of SB will exist, and sometimes you will be surprised to find that they are not uncommon.
The purpose of writing this article is to talk about the follow-up reaction of this wonderful event, so that more people can feel how bad the living environment of breast-feeding mothers is.
He wanted to apologize, but was blocked by many obstacles.
Later, the two nursing mothers went to the company’s administration together. The administrative assistant urged them to make peace and said: “He is not married, has no girlfriend, and really has no awareness in this respect.” However, the man assumed the posture of not thinking he has what problems anyway and spread out a lot of excuses that cannot be used as excuses at all.
Then, the two went to the company’s HR and executive, who led the man’s business executive to the two mothers. The business executive said that the man’s emotional intelligence was low. In order to avoid further conflicts, the business executive offered to apologize to the two mothers, which refused.
They insisted that the man himself must sincerely apologize to them. If he apologizes in writing, he needs to send a copy to the mail team of his department. His supervisor, HR supervisor and administrative supervisor all said: “Impossible.”
The HR supervisor is even more [absolutely]: [His leaders have all apologized to you. What else do you want? Otherwise, let XXX (Department General Manager) apologize to you? ]
I would also like to add that, The administrative assistant who appeared during the above negotiation was a mother of two children. And just gave two treasure weaned milk, the administrative director also just finished lactation soon, the HR director is a pregnant mother, a few months later, she will also appear in this breast milk room, together with these breast-feeding mothers, to suck milk for their children. And the business director is also the father of a two-year-old child.
I am a character who never believes in evil and is not afraid of ghosts. I think this matter can’t just forget it. If the mother who was [invaded] at that time was me, I would definitely not spare him. Moreover, this matter cannot stand waiting and consumption, because the two mothers will only become more disappointed in the long-term waiting and consumption, and then their hearts will be cold. It is more likely that they will wait for a result that will go away.
When things happened, we chose to call the police.
At the strong suggestion of my husband, I called the police.
The police soon called out the police. Both parties were called to the scene to handle the case beside the police car parked at the gate of the company. The group HR accompanied the reception. As the police officer, I was also at the scene of course.
On the one hand, it was a statement of the fact that the two mothers were [violated], and on the other hand, it was the man’s various [unwitting] statements. The police immediately requested that the man be brought back to the police station for separate inquiries.
I can feel that this man’s attitude has changed completely in the police station, which also makes me understand at once why there should be public security laws in this society.
He was taken directly to the police station by the police car, while the rest of us went there on our own. When we arrived at the police station’s public security reception hall, he had already been taken into a room behind the iron gate by the police. He was brought back to our sight after we told the police the whole story in the reception room.
I clearly saw his legs shaking when he bowed to apologize.
The result of the incident was that the two parties signed a mediation agreement. The man promised to send a public email to apologize sincerely to the two mothers before 6 pm that day and send a copy to our entire business department. The HR of the Group agreed with the general manager of the department to transfer the man from our business department.
This result is relatively fair.
Breast-fed mothers need more understanding and goodwill.
After this incident, as a member of the group of nursing mothers, I really feel a lot.
In the past two years of breast-feeding, I have encountered all kinds of people and things that do not understand, support or help breast-feeding mothers. For this reason, I have never fought less.
When the company did not have this breast milk room, several breast-feeding mothers and I had been sucking milk in the idle boss’s room. I had quarreled with those who unreasonably occupied the boss’s room and asked me to move to the mother and infant room of the next building to suck milk, forcing them to go to the tea room or the conference room to sell precious private space.
I have never been afraid of sucking milk. I am embarrassed. As long as the time comes, I will rightfully leave my job or the meeting site and suck milk openly, just as it is natural for everyone to go to the bathroom and male colleagues to go downstairs to smoke.
I have also always advocated breast-feeding in any public place without shelter. It is only natural that children should eat in restaurants, shopping malls, supermarkets and parks.
In particular, I would like to say that the time cost required for the educational environment is huge. In China, the improvement of the breast milk environment may require the continuous efforts of one generation or even several generations. However, as a mother, you should stand up and put on your posture to tell everyone in your body your due attitude and rights.
When your legitimate rights and interests are violated, any reasonable and legal means should be used, and any minor evil should not be tolerated.
I would also like to say to all XX people who are not clear about right and wrong in this [invasion] breast milk incident, every family must have children, and every parent loves their children deeply, just as you cannot imagine how your children should grow up without the love of their parents, and you should also know how terrible people should be without a sense of justice and fairness.
Finally, I am deeply grateful to the brother department leaders who helped the two mothers stand out during the police mediation on the spot and even wanted to beat people directly. Your presence makes us feel the warm light.
