There is a carcinogenic habit that can make people lose their throats, but 300 million people in China are still addicted to it.

AuthorZuowa

Many people clearly want to speak, but their throats cannot make a sound. Even speaking has become a luxury. Such serious consequences are only due to a bad habit shared by 315 million Chinese.

Take out your lighter, light a cigarette, take a sip, it’s as simple as that.

Many smokers don’t think much of it, and some people will say, “I’m scared to have a cigarette and I’m shocked.”

But we don’t have to go through these pains to understand a truth.

Today, Dr. Clove wants to tell you a story. The hero of the story, Joao Candido, is a university professor and seems to have a smooth life.

Suddenly one day, the professor, who had a harmonious family, was respected and respected, decided to work as a clerk in a canteen.

Please pay attention to his gesture

As a canteen clerk, he looks very ordinary, but his voice is a bit strange.

Perhaps it is only when chatting that there is a little difference.

When someone comes to buy cigarettes, whether young, old, male or female, he will talk to customers.

Have you smoked for a long time?

It’s been a year.

Although his voice sounds a bit strange and confusing, people usually respond politely.

You have to prepare enough cigarettes for the weekend, don’t you?

Oh, yes, it must.

Although he is a little introverted, he will try to greet customers.

I remember when I smoked, I was very worried about not smoking on weekends (the canteen was closed).

He will also enthusiastically talk about his smoking history in those days.

When I was young, I also had two packs of cigarettes a day.

I also smoke for social reasons.

However, although he tried very hard to exchange pleasantries, customers would always feel a little uneasy when they heard his voice. A little brother said after going out:

Frankly speaking, I am a little scared.

Perhaps it is because the younger brother did not refrain from asking this question after all. Like many other curious customers:

Are you here with what?

Source: Video Screenshot

He seems to have become accustomed to these curiosity:

This is an electronic throat.

I had throat cancer before, and now I have to use this to speak.

Because my vocal cords were removed.

Fourteen years ago, he suffered from laryngeal cancer due to smoking and had to have his vocal cords removed and speak with an electronic larynx.

Do you still remember the beginning [please pay attention to his gesture]? He must hold it in order to make a sound. Even so, only electronic sounds can be made. Therefore, strange electronic sounds always make customers feel uneasy when chatting.

He can no longer make his voice heard.

According to a special study by the International Agency for Cancer Research (IARC) on tobacco carcinogenesis, smoking is one of the most important risk factors for laryngeal cancer. Old smokers are 20 times more likely to die of laryngeal cancer than non-smokers.

He is not the only one who has lost his throat because of smoking, and he will not be the last one.

After learning the truth, many customers were deeply impressed by him, but their reactions may be different.

Some people insisted that they would never give up smoking.

But he turned to say that he was also a little scared. I can’t say for sure whether I am afraid of a person who loses his throat or the smoke that makes people lose his throat.

Frankly speaking, I am a little scared.

When I saw the smoke there, I felt quite scared.

Some people take chances, and then they realize the stupidity of taking chances.

I imagine that such a thing will not happen to me.

It’s stupid to think so, isn’t it?

Others finally made up their minds.

We don’t have to go through this to realize that we are wrong.

Quit now, now.

As mentioned at the beginning, according to the data of the World Health Organization, there are more than 300 million smokers in China, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the total number of smokers in the world. One person dies of tobacco use every 30 seconds or so in China.

In addition, more than 700 million people in China are exposed to second-hand smoke, resulting in 100,000 deaths from second-hand smoke every year.

Smoking is closely related to various cancers, and I’m afraid it is also a cliche. But every time I mention it, someone will always say:

XX smoked all his life, but did he still live to be 90 years old?

Take an example to refute big data. They are all playing hooligans. As the girl above said, these data and experiences are just to stop us from gambling with ourselves.

Therefore, if you don’t want your health and that of your family to be harmed, please refuse smoking.

We never need more suicides and murders.
