The real ending of this story is actually very tragic, because after the battle is over, the extra white blood cells have nothing to do and living will only waste resources. They will all choose suicide as their ending.
However, two special cells will survive, namely, memory T cells and memory B cells. They are differentiated after presenting antigens. As data recorders behind the battlefield, they will remember the appearance of the invader and save it. The next time the same invader commits again, they will be killed by the immune system in the first place.
This is why some people who have been ill once will never get it again in their lives.
